A neutral think tank focusing on science-based reforms and restructuring approaches for India’s agriculture.

Our Goals

We’re a U.S.-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on the following:

Promoting India’s agricultural growth in a way that’s efficient, equitable, and environmentally friendly — using science and research-based, education, and extension-oriented approaches.

Mobilizing skills, expertise, and technologies internationally with a focus on enhancing sustainability of India’s agriculture, food security, nutrition, and allied activities — including climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Undertaking projects and programs in India and abroad that are consistent with U.S. laws applicable to nonprofits on its own or in conjunction with international agencies and individual countries.

Our Directors

IAAG is governed by a Board of DIrectors composed of Padma Bhushan, Dr. Ram Badan SIngh, Dr. Kamal Jit Bawa, Dr. Rameshwar Kanwar, Dr. Prof. Kadambot Siddique, and Mr. Ramesh Deshpande.

The board is supported by 50 advisors and founding members, composed of eminent scientists, researchers, educators, and administrators with years of experience in agricultural development, both in India and internationally.

How We Work

IAAG deliberates on issues of high priority in India’s agriculture; articulating potential reform or restructuring in the sector and working with policymakers and other stakeholders to define the way forward. We’re always looking to facilitate speedy and efficient implementation of policies and programs with an eye towards impact.
